Frequently asked questions

How do I book?

Simply fill in the contact form above or email me at marthaleephotography@outlook.com.

Try to include as much information as possible about the type of session you would like to book, available dates etc.

When do I pay?

A non-refundable deposit of £50 will secure your booking, the remainder can be paid on the day.

When should I book my shoot?

It’s best to book around the time of your 20 weeks scan. This is just to make sure that you get a session at the best possible time for baby’s arrival. The best time to photograph a new born baby is around 7-14 days old.

For any milestone or family shoot, just book as soon as you’re thinking about it. The sooner you book, the more likely you are to secure the date you’d like or a weekend spot.

For maternity sessions,I would advise booking a shoot at around 28-34 weeks and you can book this is in as soon as you like.

What if I can’t make it?

If you cant make your session please let me know as soon as possible, sometimes it cant be helped, and I will try my best to schedule you in for another session.

How long will my shoot take?

Newborn sessions can take anything between 2-3 hours, depending on how your little one settles during the session. It’s common for it to take a little longer than usual for baby to settle and sleep, but I only book 1 newborn shoot per day, so no one has to feel rushed and there’s plenty of time for nappy changes, feeding and cuddling.

For maternity, milestone & family sessions, it will usually take between 1-2 hours.

Do you offer outdoor sessions?

Yes, absolutely, I specialise in outdoor sessions. They are perfect for capturing siblings together or intimate and natural maternity sessions.

Can I have a shoot at home?

I love home sessions, they are so personal and we can create a great variety of images. Please note that a travel fee is charged for shoots further than 30 miles from my home address.

Can siblings be included in the session?

Yes absolutely! In fact, I very encourage all family members to be in photos. As you will see from my work, I have a strong passion for capturing the love and connection between loved ones.

What should we all wear?

You can of course wear whatever you like. I would advise that you keep it simple and avoid any wild colours or patterns if possible. A classic look like a white shirt and jeans can work really well, for maternity sessions something floaty is always a win. If you need more help with this feel free to get in touch.
